‘Never wear your best pants when you go out to fight for freedom and truth.’ – Henrik Ibsen. But always save your best chair for yourself.
Made in Norway says a lot
To say something is made in Norway says a lot.
It has a population of little more than five million, more than a third of its area lies north of the Arctic Circle, its capital Oslo is on the same latitude with Great Britain’s Shetland Islands and Anchorage, Alaska. The environment is not exactly hospitable. This is, after all, the Land of the Midnight Sun and Northern Lights. But it is also a place of stunning scenery and dramatic landscape. Its coastline is visually impressive and National Geographic lists the Norwegian fjords as the world’s top tourist attraction.
When not hiking, skiing, or just enjoying the scenery, the Norwegians work. And since 1971, Norway has been home to the Stressless recliner made in the small village of Sykkylven, Norway.
