Natural Leather

Stressless leathers

Leather is a natural product and, like wood and fabric, colors may vary slightly from one product to another. Some caution is necessary as leather is sensitive to direct sunlight, stains and perspiration, and some color change will occur with time due to use and the effect of light. Marks from normally occurring scars and insect bites are a feature of leather with natural grain.

Paloma leather

Paloma is featured as a quick ship for most recliners.  This is because of its soft, natural and comfortable expression. Also, Paloma is a slightly corrected leather with a combination of dyes and pigments that smooth down some of the leather’s natural grain pattern, scars and marks. A thin coat of lacquer gives Paloma some protection and simplifies cleaning.

Batick

Batick is a corrected, pigment improved and grain embossed leather with most of its natural marks removed. A two-tone color effect livens up the surface. Batick resists fading, although color changes may occur over time due to use and sunlight exposure. A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning.

Cori

Cori is a corrected, pigment improved and grain embossed leather with a distinct pebbled grain. Most natural marks are removed. Cori has a tip-shine, adding depth and character to the surface.  Some colors are two-tone/ tone-on-tone effect.  A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning.

Noblesse

Noblesse is the most exclusive leather Ekornes offers. It is a full grain semi-aniline, which means that it is dyed throughout and has only a thin protective topcoat, allowing the leather to keep its natural softness and luster. Noblesse retains its original grain pattern. Minor color nuances and skin blemishes may also appear. Although the topcoat provides a measure of protection, Noblesse is the most delicate of Ekornes leathers. It absorbs moisture and is vulnerable to wear and tear, heat, sunlight, spills and perspiration.
